The project management team of SLMP has compiled an internal review document, called the Second Self Assessment, to prepare itself for the last 2 years of implementation. In the critical report PMT has tried to present the main achievement, challenges and suggestions how to overcome these. The report contains a monitoring report with a comparison of project achievements set against the initial targets. The Self Assessment is intended as a key input for discussion with the World Bank mission team in May 2010.

SLMP has initiated the measurement of soil erosion on soil erosion plots since early 2008. By now the project has installed 27 plots at 6 different locations. The aim is to establish soil erosion rates under different agro-ecologcial conditions and treatments and to quantify the effect of SLM measures to reduce soil erosion. The report present the results for the years 2008 and 2009 with a broader analysis.

This presentation was given by Dorji Jamtsho, the Officiating SLMP Field Coordinator for Zhemgang Dzongkhag. He gave an overview of the progress in Nangkhor during the fiscal year 2008-2009 and higlighted a number of issues and focus for the coming 3 years of SLMP support.

Deki Wangmo delivered this presentation on the SLMP funded project "Land Use and Cover Mapping Project (LCMP)". The projejct started in July 2008 and is intended to produse updated maps of alnd cover/land use later in 2010.

A presentation made during the Third Annual Review Workshop by Tshering Dorji on the 5 sites where SLMP now has established erosion plots to measure erosion rates under natural conditions, with traditional framing practices and with SLM interventions.

A presenattionmade by the Land Management Specialist of SLMP  Dr. Hans van Noord on the progress made since the last ARW in September 2008. The presentation described the Mid-Term review of Septmeber 2008, the Participatory Action PLanning for SLM in the 6 Scaling-Up geogs, The AWP/B for 2009-2010, the start of implementation in the SUGs in PY4 and highlights the outcomes of a number of studies.

The presentation made during the Third Annual Review Workshop by the Officiating Field Coordinator of Chhukha Dzongkhag Rinchen Wandi. He presented on the main progress in the field in the pilot geog of Phuentsholing in the fiscal year 2008-2009 and talked about issues and constraints encountered in the field.

The presentation as given by the MSP and NSSC PD Karma Dema Dorji on the progress and issues related to MSP (GEF-UNDP) during the Third Annual Review Workshop held on November 10th 2009.

The revised proposal format (October 2009) for proposals to be funded under the SLM Thematic Call for Proposals.

This information leaflet gives background information on the SLM Thematic Call for Proposals and expalins the intended focus on SLM and poverty alleviation, types of activities to be funded, and for whom the Call is intended. The format of the proposals, that is renewed and simplified, is discussed together with the duration and budget of proposals. Finally information is given on the evaluatio of proposals and the procedure after the proposal has been awarded.
