It is interesting to know that all the remaining geogs in Pemagahshel will be connected by 2011(Kuensel). Any plans for Bara geog, Samtse?? The people of Bara have spent their lives seeing the developmental changes taking place only to its neighbouring geog (Tendu) for over a decade now. Nothing has been done by MoAF to change the livelihood of this geog. MoA do have provided extension officers for agri., animal hus. and forestry but this officers have acted more as dictators than a helper. Of course, who will monitor them in a remote place.

Bara is well known for the cultivation and production of cardamom but with the least support from the govt., the people are losing it only source of income to disease. The geog has a high potential for any agricultural and animal products but due to unaccessibility to the nearest town people have worked only for self sustaining their family.

There is a rumour among laymen of a feeder road proposal but when it will capitalise is the question among the unfortunate lot.
